Throughout this year, each issue of the Journal will feature a different winner from our 2019 Journal Industry Awards. In this edition, we recognize the 2019 Home Inspectors of the Year, Paul Furman and Sharon Wolf-Furman.

Paul Furman and Sharon Wolf-Furman have been in the home inspection industry for more than 40 years. They work together as Co-owners of AJF Inspections & Engineering, a home, termite and commercial inspection company based in Scottsdale that has been servicing the Valley of the Sun since 1996. With the help of their team, AJF Inspections & Engineering has completed more than 70,000 home inspections.

“Every day is different, working with a wide variety of people, properties and challenges in an effort to help educate, protect and fulfill dreams of home ownership,” shared Sharon and Paul.

The two said they have always had a passion for homes – how they work, how they’re put together, how systems interact- as well as a strong desire to help people. Their dedication to helping others is noticed by peers, as well. Nomination submissions shared things like, “This company’s owners are not only amazing at what the do and do it well, they all participate in philanthropic community charities.” Another submission said, “Paul and Sharon have set the absolute highest bar for home inspection and related services, nobody even comes close. Their tireless dedication to their profession and the real estate industry as a whole stands head and shoulders above the crowd.”
